SpiroFlo Looking for Interested Homeowners to Test Its Water and Energy Saving Device

In conjunction with the Colorado Governor's Energy Office (GEO), SpiroFlo Holdings, Inc., a Colorado innovative technology company, is looking for eighty residential households in the Denver Metro area to test its patented hot water savings device.

This SpiroFlo device accelerates the delivery of hot water in a home, thereby enabling a more efficient shower.

How Does It Work?

In simple terms, the SpiroFlo is described as creating a tornado in a pipe. By spinning water in the pipe, turbulence is reduced and the organized flow developed by the patented device results in water being delivered faster to your shower, with several benefits as a consequence:

  • Less time waiting for a shower
  • Lower water use
  • Lower energy use
  • Lower disposal of waste water

Operational benefits to the homeowner include:

  • Easy installation
  • No moving parts
  • Water and energy dividend on day one
  • Organization of fluids, reduction of turbulence and delivery time
  • Ability to work well with low flow-rate devices

For example, a household with a shower at the end of the water line — previously taking, on average, 2½-3 minutes for hot water delivery — now takes only half the time, thereby increasing efficiency and lowering energy costs, water usage and waste.

However, the greatest value of the SpiroFlo is its convenience: offering reliable hot water at consistent flow and pressures without the high costs and flaws of tankless and recirculating systems. The SpiroFlo device is placed on the outlet of a hot water tank and, without costly modifications, serves as a complete system for the whole house. With no moving parts, SpiroFlo has no need for continual maintenance, so once installed, the SpiroFlo provides hot water without the high-cost burn.

GEOstudy

In exchange for a free SpiroFlo device, members of the test group will provide the following:

  • Plumbing installation costs (expected to be less than $80)
  • 10 days of timing and recording how long it takes for hot water to arrive at the shower prior to the SpiroFlo device being installed
  • 10 days of timing and recording how long it takes for hot water to arrive at the shower after the SpiroFlo device has been installed

Applicants interested in being a part of this test should send the following information to GEOstudy@spiroflo.com: Name, address, contact info (phone number, email), household size, floor plan style (ranch, multi-story, etc.) and average time waiting for hot water at shower outlets.

With the increased shortage of water in the Denver Metro area, this SpiroFlo device has the potential to save almost 3,000 gallons of water annually for each home in which it is installed. The water dividend for Colorado could be measured in billions of gallons of water saved annually with widespread adoption of this exciting new water saving device.

SpiroFlo thanks the Colorado Governor's Energy Office (GEO) for their support in providing this Innovation Funding for Energy Efficiency (IFEE) grant.
